Respire: Ben Sloat, March 2019

March 2-24, 2019
Opening reception March 2, 2019 from 6-9pm

“Respire” considers the transformation of photographic works from image to material and back again. An idiosyncratic set of photographic works are shared, some printed directly on aluminum, some taking on time based forms, which have transitions to material itself in between the various works presented. A new kind of photographic exchanged is proposed, one which considers the literal image as not the central mechanism or subject, but material itself as a kind of connective tissue between various aesthetic elements.
